On Lake Ainsky, located near Krasnogorsk, they want to reserve a land plot to create a specially protected natural area of ​ ​ regional significance and thereby limit economic activity on it.

A valuable mollusk is found on the lake in the Tomarinsky district, which is mined for industrial purposes by Ainskoye LLC. Another value is the Red Book Sakhalin taimen, which is inviolable, since any actions with it are criminal.

Land reservation is supposed to be made in order to expand the protected areas network of regional significance of the Sakhalin Region and develop a tourist cluster on the territory adjacent to the lake. In other words, this is the development of "environmental tourism."

According to the draft decree of the PSO, land with an area of ​ ​ 6807.5986 Ha is planned to be reserved for a period of three years.

Activities such as:

• Provision of forest plots for all uses of forests;
• construction and placement of constants or temporary buildings, buildings, constructions, other objects of all types and any appointment, except for construction, reconstruction and operation of linear objects;
• carrying out hydrolevel and irrigation works;
• Geological exploration, exploration and mining;
• timber harvesting, continuous logging of forest plantations, with the exception of sanitation measures, as well as logging related to the construction of forest roads, including fire protection, with the creation of fire breaks during forest fires.
